Nieves Viesca poet and storyteller, born in Gijón, where she lives. His literary career began in the newspaper the Northwest, since its founding in 1978 until the disappearance thereof. He has published books of short stories: The dance of balance (1996), Metamorphosis of feeling (2002), Nineteen and Twenty Lines (2009). It appears in the anthologies: Cardplayer (2003); Weavers Words (2005); Shows XXI Century English Poetry (2006); Tankas for Spring (2007); XX New Voices Poetry Collection (2007); The best Bilordios Pinion (2007) Department of Culture of the City of Oviedo; Words Angel (2009). Awards: Third prize in the Radio QK Story (1995), second prize in the XI Award San Esteban de Sograndio, Oviedo (1999); II Anacreontic poetry prize at the Festival d'Automne, Segóbriga (2003); Award New Voices of Torremozas, Madrid (2007), first prize in the contest of micro minimorum IV "Voice of Asturias "in the form of Asturian Language, (2008).
has received a grant for Creative Writing at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Principality of Asturias by the work of nineteen or twenty lines.
